UNO Digital Bank wins Asian Experience Awards 2025 for digital lending solution

#UNOeasy removes traditional banking barriers through intelligent automation, making loan applications and disbursals possible in just a few taps. 

Virtual banking company UNO Digital Bank bagged the Philippines Digital Experience of the Year - Financial Services accolade at the coveted Asian Experience Awards 2025 for its flagship digital lending solution #UNOeasy, which has made access to credit simple, fast, and inclusive for underserved Filipinos. 

At the core of #UNOeasy is a powerful decision engine powered by alternative credit scoring, automation, and behavioural analytics. This comes especially important in a country like the Philippines, where nearly half of the adult population remains unbanked and underserved. 

Through #UNOeasy, applicants are assessed based on a wide variety of data points, including telco, transactional, and psychometric data, allowing the bank to approve loans even for first-time borrowers with no prior credit history, and as fast as five minutes. 

The solution has been launched to address the pressing need for accessible and fast credit, especially for those who lack traditional credit histories or live outside major financial hubs. 

Around 6,000 loan applications are received monthly, with steady month-on-month growth. Nearly 40% of approved loans have also been disbursed to first-time borrowers, a testament to the product’s reach and inclusiveness. 

At the same time, the average time from application to disbursal has been brought down to under 10 minutes due to automation and a fully digital process.
