Event Plus clinches win for CKD management web application

The web application offers a variety of functionalities to help healthcare providers manage chronic kidney disease.

Events management company Event Plus bagged the Digital - Advertising category win at the recently held Malaysia Technology Excellence Awards for its comprehensive and convenient online platform MyCKDCPG web application.

MyCKDCPG is designed to serve as a one-stop solution for the management of chronic kidney disease (CKD) in Malaysia. It offers a variety of features and functionalities that enable healthcare providers to make informed decisions about managing CKD.

The web application is also a reliable source of information and decision support tool, which includes the mobile version of the CKD clinical practice guidelines (CPG) and supplementary features. This tool provides healthcare providers with comprehensive and up-to-date information on the management of CKD.

One of the key components of the web application is its Mobile CPG, which presents the CPG on management of CKD in an infographics, enabling the comprehensive and up-to-date information on CKD management.

Amongst its features is the eGFR Slope Calculator, which provides a visual representation of the patient's kidney health on the eGFR slope. This tool may help healthcare providers to monitor the progression of CKD and to make informed decisions on the appropriate course of action. It also helps patients understand their condition and treatment better.

Another feature is the CKD Risk Profiler, a crucial component of the web application that provides an assessment of the patient's CKD progression risk. This tool provides a comprehensive assessment of the patient's risk of developing complications associated with CKD and enables healthcare providers to develop personalised treatment plans.

Lastly, the Decision Aid Tool component of the web application is designed to help healthcare providers make informed decisions on the appropriate course of action and provides a comprehensive checklist of the various factors that need to be considered when managing CKD.

The company believes that the impact of the CPG on the web application can be significant in improving CKD management in Malaysia, as healthcare providers can have easy access to the latest clinical guidelines and decision tools for managing CKD with the application’s easy-to-use and comprehensive features.

“The web application has been reviewed by expert reviewers and is suitable for use in clinical practice, but it is not designed to replace the professional expertise and clinical judgement of healthcare providers,” Event Plus said.
