PRISMA KHAS SDN BHD was honoured with the Cybersecurity - Computer Software win at the Malaysia Technology Excellence Awards 2024
Its innovative digital forensics project for the Largest Law Enforcement Agency’s Digital Forensic Lab sets new benchmarks in cybersecurity and digital forensic practices both locally and globally.
Prisma Khas Sdn Bhd has won the Cybersecurity - Computer Software award at the Malaysia Technology Excellence Awards 2024. This accolade recognised their vital work in boosting the digital forensic abilities at Malaysia’s largest Public Sector Digital Forensic Lab in Klang Valley. Their involvement in what's seen as Malaysia's most ambitious digital forensic project so far has significantly enhanced the lab's functioning. It's a big step forward in cybersecurity and digital forensics, potentially setting new trends globally.
Prisma Khas faced the daunting task of finding optimal solutions for the client that is dealing with a growing pile of digital evidence. Their partnership with the government aimed to overhaul the country's premier forensic lab, changing the way digital evidence is handled, analysed, and reported across Malaysia. The goal was to set a new standard in digital forensic expertise in the Law Enforcement arena in Malaysia.
Prisma Khas has ensured balanced gender roles, as the project team is an all-woman team headed by the Project Director, Hazidah bte Haidar, and respected ladies as project managers; and the Sales is led by Ms. Nurfatin Sastra Zanuri. This ensures a well-balanced team to provide our specialised solutions to the market.
In less than two years, the company had to ensure the integrity of evidence custody, meet ISO standards, covering ISO 17025 and ISO27001, and work under the watchful eyes of an Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) partner and the Technology Depository Agency (TDA) from the Ministry of Finance. These steps were crucial to keeping the project on track with its ambitious goals.
A key part of their strategy was to develop custom case management software designed to revolutionise evidence processing in the lab. By leveraging advanced analytics and AI, Prisma Khas didn't just aim to clear the backlog of evidence. They also wanted to boost the lab's efficiency and investigative capabilities significantly.
But they're not stopping with just clearing backlogs. Prisma Khas plans to expand its solutions across Malaysia, aiming to uplift digital forensic capabilities throughout the nation. This move could introduce top-tier software and raise the bar for digital forensic work countrywide.
Transforming the Digital Forensic Lab into a model for digital forensic analysis in Malaysia is a notable success for Prisma Khas Sdn Bhd. It cements its status as a leader in the cybersecurity and digital forensics field. Thanks to their use of advanced analytics and AI, optimising case analyses has become a realistic target.
Their win at the Malaysia Technology Excellence Awards 2024 underscores their dedication to pushing the boundaries of innovation, excellence, and national security. Leading Malaysia's most comprehensive digital forensic project, Prisma Khas Sdn Bhd is not just enhancing the capabilities of this client but is also helping set international benchmarks for digital forensic practices.
Their continued work in delivering top-notch solutions to the Malaysian government highlights their pivotal role in the advancement of digital forensic technology within the cybersecurity arena.
