Stronger relations and freedom of information are amongst the highlights of the night’s speeches.

The recurring theme for the entire is protecting the integrity of information through combatting fake news, strengthening the press, and expanding cooperation with international partners.

Outgoing New Zealand ambassador to the Philippines, Peter Kell, shared his first impressions of the Philippines before he sounded of his departure from his role.

Another highlight is the European Union (EU) ambassador to the Philippines Luc Véron praising the substantial trade relations between EU and the Philippines that accumulated $17.3m (€16m) and translated to growth and employment opportunities.
