ExxonMobil expands predictive maintenance service in Indonesia
Seven locations now combine lubrication management with oil analysis.
PT ExxonMobil Lubricants Indonesia has expanded a predictive maintenance service that monitors lubricants and identifies equipment problems before machinery fails, helping manufacturers reduce downtime and unnecessary maintenance.
"Optimising synthetic lubrication is a concrete step toward improving equipment reliability, cutting downtime, raising energy efficiency, and stabilising production," Syah Reza, president-director at PT ExxonMobil Lubricants, said in an emailed reply to Manufacturing Asia.
The company has expanded the service to Surabaya, Batam, Palembang (Muara Enim), Jakarta, Tangerang, Bekasi, and Kalimantan.
The service combines its MACHINEXT lubrication management platform with Mobil Lubricant Analysis, which monitors the condition of lubricants, grease, and coolants so maintenance can be based on equipment condition instead of fixed service intervals.
Reza said customers are using equipment data to identify maintenance needs earlier, helping reduce downtime, extend the life of lubricants and coolants, and lower maintenance and waste disposal costs.
Indonesia’s manufacturing purchasing managers’ index stabilised in May after an earlier contraction. Reza said the cost and reliability pressures behind that contraction are exactly what plastic and packaging manufacturers using MACHINEXT are seeking to offset.
The company plans to focus on product availability through its distributor network, technical support, and industrial partnerships for the rest of 2026, he added.
