Andrew Carver's visionary leadership transforms Throne Lounge Singapore into the epitome of exclusive nightlife

Throne Lounge staged its comeback between the Singapore F1 week and the first COVID-free holiday season.

Walking into the 33,000 square-foot pop-up party concept Throne Lounge Singapore @ Wave Party K is an experience tantamount to entering an opulent, fantasy dreamscape.

A beautiful, artfully lit labyrinth of connecting corridors links 23 unique and private nightclub spaces, each with its classy mood and personality.

Delving deeper into the pop-up party concept, Throne Lounge Singapore’s Andrew Carver and co-founder Anastasia Kulabuhova spoke to Simon Hyett, Contributing Editor at Asian Business Review.

“Our core principle is dedicated to creating an experience. Our clients are wealthy individuals who expect world-class service standards and an experience that is not only unforgettable but also one which is based on their unique preferences. The clients and their touchpoints are central to what we do,” Throne Lounge Chief Executive, Andrew Carver tells Asian Business Review.

No avenue has been left unexplored when it comes to creating a unique adventure for high-echelon patrons at Wave Party K.

The nearly two dozen idiosyncratic rooms, with some catering up to 40, have a billiards table and an in-house DJ console.

All rooms include stylish lounges, a state-of-the-art sound system, and LED mood-setting screens.

Exquisite room design is only part of Throne Lounge's vision.

Each room includes commensurate F&B options and highly personalised service.

Wave Party K boasts an outstanding, almost unlimited array of drink options, spearheaded by a vast cellar of exclusive wines and champagnes.

If clients wish, they can pair their drinks with a Chinese-themed menu prepared by the club’s specialist culinary team.

More than its exquisite design and services, what sets the lounge apart is its people.

“We have built a family atmosphere amongst our staff. Our people are meticulously trained on understanding client preferences and needs,” Carver said.

At the very foundation of the brand is Carver’s partner, Throne Lounge Singapore co-founder Anastasia Kulabukova. Whereas Carver is the man behind the business model, Kulabukova is the genius behind the client and guest network – and at this level of society network is everything.

“Understanding each of our client’s unique requirements is vital,” says Kulabukova, who has worked tirelessly in high-end social and professional communities in the region to build an enviable and deeply exclusive contact list. “My mobile phone contains billions of dollars of contacts,” the Ukrainian adds of the Club’s most valuable asset, without a hint of hyperbole.

Throne Lounge Singapore at Wave Party K, nestled right on the chic Orchard fringe, is truly only to be experienced to be believed. Whilst the venue’s $10 million investment in renovations is significant, coupled with careful planning on stunning furnishings, fixtures and fitting, right down to minutiae like the weight of glass cocktail tumblers, these enhancements must align with the overall strategy and vision that the partners have for the pop-up party concept.

“We are completely invested in making Singapore a nightlife leader for the high-net-worth residents in the city-state and those visiting from around the region and the world. Everything we do and every move we make must be of the highest quality,” said Kulabuhova.

“We are a unique and exclusive nightlife venue but, this is important, we are not just a nightclub in the traditional sense. We are all-encompassing - day through to night, for business meetings, great cuisine, networking, and then partying, celebrating and music – we are a multifaceted venue for the rich and elite," Carver added.
