beIN MEDIA GROUP wins two awards at Asia-Pacific Broadcasting+ Awards 2026

The company developed technologies that automate real-time sports visuals across social media and live television.

beIN MEDIA GROUP won Digital Transformation - Qatar and IP Broadcast Solutions - Qatar in the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting+ Awards 2026. The company secured the double victory through its in-house creation of two automated platforms, Flex Graph and the beIN SPORTS News L-Shape system. These systems completely modernised the production of sports data graphics, which previously required extensive manual effort.

For the Digital Transformation - Qatar category, the company developed Flex Graph, a web-based engine that automates sports graphics for social media. In traditional workflows, media teams manually design visuals, resize pixels, and insert updated match data for separate platforms. Flex Graph removes this complexity by utilising responsive layout technology based on Flexbox principles. Graphic elements automatically rearrange themselves depending on the required layout.

Connected to Opta sports data and the internal media library, the platform converts match information and player statistics into visually rich graphics within seconds. This allows editorial teams to share updates with audiences almost instantly whilst maintaining brand consistency.

In the IP Broadcast Solutions - Qatar category, the company was awarded for the beIN SPORTS News L-Shape system. Operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, this fully automated infographic platform functions as a data-driven graphics engine. It ingests live sports feeds from global providers and transforms them into broadcast-ready visuals without interrupting programming.

The dynamic L-shape layout allows viewers to follow multiple competitions, scores, and breaking news simultaneously whilst keeping the main video visible. The system currently supports both Arabic and Turkish broadcast versions. It also serves a strategic business role, acting as a promotional gateway on the free-to-air news channel to highlight premium portfolio events.

The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting+ Awards celebrate the pioneers redefining the broadcasting industry through cutting-edge technology, digitalisation, and engineering excellence. It highlights groundbreaking projects and innovations shaping the future of broadcasting across the Asia-Pacific region.
