InterSystems wins at Asian Innovation Excellence Awards 2025 for AI-powered EHR

The company’s IntelliCare™ solution transforms healthcare delivery through AI-powered efficiency and enhanced clinician experience.

InterSystems won Indonesia Technology Innovation of the Year - Healthcare Technology in the Asian Innovation Excellence Awards 2025 for its AI-powered electronic health record (EHR) system, InterSystems IntelliCare™.

As a data technology provider managing over one billion healthcare records globally, InterSystems developed IntelliCare upon the foundation of the InterSystems TrakCare Electronic Health Record system, which has been adopted by more than 600 hospitals globally to reshape healthcare delivery. Designed with artificial intelligence embedded at its core, IntelliCare helps clinicians work more efficiently by streamlining workflows, documentation, and EHR navigation. EMC Healthcare in Indonesia became the first organisation in the world to adopt IntelliCare.

Jusup Halimi, President Director of EMC Group, said that adopting InterSystems IntelliCare enables a fundamental shift in how healthcare is delivered. “We aim to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance patient care across our facilities. We also see this as a game changer for the experience of both our patients and our care providers,” he said.

An initial pilot implementation at EMC Healthcare demonstrated measurable impact, reducing the number of clicks required to retrieve laboratory test results by 75%. With IntelliCare’s AI Assistant, clinicians can now access information faster, experience fewer workflow interruptions, and spend more time engaging with patients.

IntelliCare integrates artificial intelligence across clinical, administrative, and revenue cycle management modules. Its tools include automated documentation, natural-language summarisation, AI-assisted coding, and prepopulated clinical prompts, all aimed at improving accuracy and speeding up decision-making. Built on the InterSystems IRIS for Health data platform, IntelliCare ensures seamless interoperability and supports deployment across on-premises, cloud, and SaaS environments, offering scalability for healthcare providers of all sizes.

InterSystems also designed IntelliCare and IRIS for Health with regional relevance in mind. The IntelliCare system is pre-configured to align with local market requirements and the IRIS for health local edition supports national healthcare initiatives such as Indonesia’s SATUSEHAT. The company’s ethical approach to AI is anchored in transparency, safety, and human oversight, ensuring that technology enhances, rather than replaces, the clinician’s role.

The Asian Innovation Excellence Awards honours companies that achieve measurable outcomes and address key challenges through innovation and operational improvement, recognising initiatives that drive meaningful progress across diverse industries in the region.
