Krungthai Bank PCL honoured at the Asian Innovation Excellence Awards 2025

Krungthai Bank PCL received accolades at the Asian Innovation Excellence Awards 2025, winning Thailand Customer-Centric Innovation of the Year - Financial Services and Thailand Strategic Partnership Innovation of the Year - Financial Services. The recognition highlights the bank’s practical use of digital technology in education and enterprise development.

Revolutionising higher education through the Krungthai Campus App

Krungthai Bank was recognised in the Thailand Customer-Centric Innovation of the Year - Financial Services category for its Krungthai Campus App.

The app is an open digital platform that modernises administrative operations and campus experiences across Thailand’s higher education institutions. The platform offers ready-to-use digital solutions at no cost, allowing universities to manage registration, tuition payment, and data in one system.

The app currently supports more than 450,000 users nationwide, linking students, teachers, and administrators through a single interface. It replaces fragmented administrative systems and paper-based processes with digital student IDs and online payment functions, streamlining daily tasks and reducing costs.

Empowering SMEs through cross-border digital collaboration

The Thailand-Japan SMEs Matching Platform: Krungthai x Kokopelli earned the bank recognition, Thailand Strategic Partnership Innovation of the Year - Financial Services, for connecting Thai small and medium-sized enterprises with international partners.

Developed with Thailand’s Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion (OSMEP) and Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), the platform combines AI-assisted translation and business-matching technology with Krungthai’s financial products.

SMEs can practically identify verified partners, access export loans and trade finance, and manage payments securely. The collaboration extends market access between Thailand and Japan whilst supporting sustainable SME growth through digital tools and financial integration.

The Asian Innovation Excellence Awards honours companies that achieve measurable outcomes and address key challenges through innovation and operational improvement, recognising initiatives that drive meaningful progress across diverse industries in the region.
