RS Pondok Indah Group honoured for healthcare innovation at Indonesia Technology Excellence Awards 2025
The company secured the recognition for integrating clinical devices with electronic health records and expanding patient access through a digital appointment service.
RS Pondok Indah Group (RSPI Group) was recognised at the Indonesia Technology Excellence Awards 2025, winning recognition in the Automation - Healthcare and Online Services - Healthcare categories. The awards covered projects that improved clinical data handling and hospital appointment management.
Streamlining hospital workflows through medical device integration
In the Automation - Healthcare category, RS Pondok Indah Group was recognised for its Medical Device Integration initiative. The project connected more than 100 medical devices to the hospital’s electronic health records. This includes patient monitors, laboratory equipment, and imaging systems. The reduced manual documentation minimised errors and allowed clinicians to make decisions more quickly using reliable data.
Intensive care units recorded a 25% reduction in documentation time, which freed up staff for patient care. In laboratories, integration cut administrative workloads by about 80%, whilst imaging turnaround times reduced by 60%. Instead of waiting for manual entries or delayed uploads, clinicians accessed information as soon as it became available.
The project also added a Clinical Decision Support System. This guided physicians and pharmacists in reviewing prescriptions. The system highlighted potential risks at the point of care and supported clinical judgement without slowing down workflows.
Expanding patient access through digital appointment services
The group was also recognised for its Hospital Appointment Online Project in the Online Services - Healthcare category. The platform replaced call centre-based bookings with a web service, mobile application, and WhatsApp chatbot. Patients were able to book, reschedule, or cancel doctor appointments at any time.
The project reduced missed consultations through automated reminders, whilst the self-cancellation option freed up slots for other patients. It is also integrated with the patient portal system so that patients can have access to their historical visit and laboratory result history. The appointment system is now widely adopted across the company’s hospitals, reflecting strong growth in online bookings and improved access for patients.
