PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP) has been awarded the Thailand Technology Excellence Award for AI - Oil & Gas in the Asian Technology Excellence Awards 2025 in recognition of its enterprise-wide AI transformation anchored by its proprietary Enterprise AI Engine, X.brain.

These include Automated Rock Image Analysis for faster and more accurate core interpretation, Drilling Operations Real-Time Analysis to predict downhole risks and reduce non-productive time, and Intelligent Pipeline Optimisation for greater efficiency in flowline routing. 

Asset integrity is strengthened through AI-enabled top-of-the-line Corrosion Prediction, whilst logistics benefit from predictive inventory management. In procurement and corporate functions, AI enhance bid evaluation and contract lifecycle management, driving compliance and transparency.

To accelerate innovation, PTTEP launched the EP Digital Platform, a centralised hub for real-time analytics, rapid prototyping, and cross-functional collaboration. Backed by a trusted data foundation, the platform enables scalable deployment of AI applications across the enterprise. These efforts generated significant benefits, underscoring the tangible impact of PTTEP’s digital transformation.

Recognising that people are at the core of digital change, PTTEP established the DigitalX Academy to strengthen internal AI and digital capabilities.
