FPT International Telecom Co. Ltd. wins Vietnam Technology Excellence Award 2024 for data centre enhancements

The capacity expansion of its data centres have brought important benefits to customers, businesses, and industries.

FPT International Telecom Co. Ltd. has been recognised with the prestigious Vietnam Technology Excellence Award 2024 in the Data Centre - Telecommunications category, thanks to significant upgrades made to its data centre operations. This accolade demonstrates the company's commitment to enhancing its data centre capacity and service offerings, notably at its Fornix HCM01 Data Centre in Ho Chi Minh City and Fornix HN02 Data Centre in Hanoi.

The Fornix HCM01 Data Centre, which was established in 2009, originally featured a three-storey building with a total construction area of 840 square metres per floor and the capacity to house 710 racks. In a move that has taken place in 2023, the facility expanded its capacity to accommodate 770 racks, bringing greater reliability and performance to clients.

Meanwhile, the Fornix HN02 Data Centre, which opened its doors in 2021, is an eight-storey facility with a construction area of approximately 10,000 square metres. Initially set up to host 5x210 racks, the centre has recently upgraded its infrastructure, increasing its capacity to 5x250 racks and expanding its area to 1,250 square metres per floor.

These upgrades are crucial not just for FPT International Telecom but also for the wider business community. The enhanced data centres deliver numerous benefits, including improved reliability, optimal performance, and reduced operational risks. These enhancements have positioned FPT as a key player in the data centre space, with a strong focus on meeting the needs of its customers.

This recognition marks a significant milestone as the company continues to support Vietnam's technological infrastructure and enable businesses to improve connectivity and services.

With the increasing demand for data and online services, FPT Fornix Data Centres play an essential role in ensuring the security and availability of information systems. Their developments are vital in a landscape where digital transformation is becoming ever more critical.
