Three out of five millennials feel anxious or stressed all the time: study

Singapore millennials were found to be more stressed than the global average.

Almost three out of five millennials or 45% are feeling stressed or anxious all the time, according to Deloitte’s 2021 Millennial and Gen Z Survey.

This is higher than the global average of 41%.

65% said they have not spoken openly about feeling more stressed or anxious to their employers since the pandemic started.

On the other hand, 62% of those surveyed said they strongly agreed that their current employers have taken action to support their mental well-being during this time.

Approximately three out of five, or 60%,  agreed that their companies are actively making plans and preparing policies to support employees with their post pandemic mental and physical health.

But 45% of millennials said that worries about their longer-term financial future have contributed the most to their feelings of anxiety or stress.

Meanwhile, Singapore Gen Z workers are less stressed, with only 40% saying they feel anxious or stressed all the time. This is lower than the global average of 46%.
