PTT Digital Company Limited wins 2 accolades at the Asian Technology Excellence Awards 2023

The company is recognised for the Hyperautomation and Digital Worker solutions it integrated into its Gaia and Hermas logistics platform.

PTT Digital Company Limited (PTT Digital) bagged two awards at the Asian Technology Excellence Awards 2023, winning the Thailand Technology Excellence Award for AI - Energy category for the contribution of its Hyperautomation and Digital Worker projects to the energy supply chain management, and the Thailand Technology Excellence Award for Digital - Oil & Gas category for the success of its digital transportation logistics platform Hermes.

PTT Digital’s solutions have continued to innovate and elevate the digitalisation of the energy sector as the industry lags compared to other sectors such as distribution and services, finance, and infrastructure, amongst others, in terms of digital transformation.

The company has offered its digital energy supply chain platform “Gaia” to guide businesses in enhancing their capabilities to work in stock inventory management, ordering management, and fulfilment. To further accelerate the platform's digitalisation, PTT Digital integrated Hyperautomation and Digital Worker solutions.

Gaia uses Hyperautomation and AI technology to merge multiple technologies to run end-to-end energy business processes. This solution connects business processes and people to synchronise the supply chain and logistics. This uses the Internet of Things (IoT) for remote sensing and real-time inventory of energy stock and consumption. It is also integrated with AI/machine learning to forecast demand in real time and a digital automation platform to operate logistics and supply chain/inventory operations.

Meanwhile, AI and ML in Digital Worker also accelerate customer efficiency and satisfaction as it also reduces heavy reliance on human labour, resulting in minimised human error. This helps in the automated inspector, trip planner, scheduler, demand forecast, optimised and automated supply distribution and trade.

The Ai-ML in Digital Worker solution in general helps in acquiring and analysing data, and managing works following the supply chain such as logistics and billing. In delivering the solution as a digital supply scheduler, the Digital Worker manages and schedules the proper transport in picking up products for delivery at the proper warehouse or terminals.

Anchored in speed, the Digital Worker solution accelerates customer efficiency and satisfaction, reduces costs and increases window time in the operations, therefore contributing to saving near-miss incidents millions of dollars.

The use of Hyperautomation and Digital Worker solutions resulted in 10 times saving operation in demand prediction by manual AI/LM and IoT with 95% forecasting accuracy and real-time inventory data. It also helps in reducing operations in transport management for transport allocation and distribution process by five times. These technologies saved 10 times of operation forecasting with 95% of accuracy and time saving in incidents and investigation of driver behaviour anomalies improved by 20 times.

Hyperautomation also leads to five times higher efficiency of sale and ordering operations and improves the efficiency of transport management by 35%.

PTT Digital Company has also been recognised for Digital Technology Excellence in the Oil & Gas category for the hyper-automation augmentation in the transportation in the oil and gas business through its Digital Transportation Logistics Platform Hermes.

Transporting oil and gas requires specification in various factors such as temperature, type, road, and weight, amongst others to ensure a successful delivery. Through the Hermes platform, PTT Digital helps its clients in ensuring the performance and efficiency of the operation and safety in transporting oil and gas.

Hermes is available for clients who own over 1,500 transports in their fleets, providing them with the visibility of their assets, readiness safety and performance of transport across various steps of the transport process, particularly before picking up, in transit, and delivery.

Integrating hyper-automation in Hermes allows the platform to associate multiple business units and processes from order management, transport management, warehouse management, and vendor management through the use of IoT-cloud geolocation and AI/ML.

The hyper-automation in logistics enables a safe delivery through the digital worker who manages the safety procedure, plans transport and manages delivery orders. The data in all processes are synchronised and contribute to providing insights into the operations of the business due to the levels of capability, visibility, transparency, and controllability that it facilitates.
