YungChing Realty Group wins at Asian Technology Excellence Awards 2025

The NCCU–YungChing Rental Price Map leverages four innovations to enhance transparency and improve transaction efficiency in Taiwan’s rental market.

YungChing Realty Group was awarded the Asian Technology Excellence Award 2025 for PropTech - Real Estate for its innovative NCCU–YungChing Rental Price Map, a platform that redefines how tenants and landlords access and use rental market information.

Taiwan’s rental sector, which accounts for nearly one-eighth of the population, has long faced challenges due to a lack of transparency and accessible data. Tenants often struggle to determine if asking rents are fair, whilst landlords face uncertainty in setting competitive rates that avoid costly vacancies. YungChing Realty Group, in collaboration with the Centre for Real Estate Research at National Chengchi University (NCCU), addressed this problem through a data-driven, user-friendly solution.

YungChing Realty Group stated that the lack of transparency in real estate information not only hampers transaction efficiency but also leads to potential financial losses for both tenants and landlords. NCCU emphasised that real estate is not merely a commodity—it is fundamentally connected to the people’s right to housing and represents an issue of social justice and public policy. Therefore, it is essential to integrate academic research to guide the market toward sustainable and balanced development. NCCU indicates that the launch of the NCCU–YungChing Rental Price Map not only enhances transparency in Taiwan’s rental market but also makes a contribution to housing justice in Taiwan. 

There are four innovative features within the NCCU–YungChing Rental Price Map. First of all, the NCCU–YungChing Rental Price Map integrates government-published rental transactions across seven metropolitan areas, public listings, and the company’s proprietary rental data into the most comprehensive rental database in the market. 

Secondly, by applying advanced big data analysis models jointly developed with NCCU, it enhances the precision and credibility of rental price data. Therefore, the platform provides tenants with accurate benchmarks to avoid overpaying and landlords with reliable guidance to set competitive prices.

Moreover, unlike other inquiry tools, the map presents objective insights through quartile-based analysis and detailed segmentation by property type. Users can review rental price levels for different types of properties in detail, based on their rental needs and financial situation, thereby enabling them to make more accurate leasing decisions. 

Fourthly, users can view price trends, compare rental levels across residential categories, and shift into real-time property searches, all within a single platform. Not only does it make it easier for users to look up rental prices information and thereby find a proper rental house on the same website, but it also enhances the consumers' user experience. 

The platform’s success is evident in both website traffic and business growth. YungChing Realty Group reported that average monthly traffic on its rental listings website rose by more than 60% year-on-year, monthly rental inquiries and phone calls grew by over 70%, and monthly rental deal closures increased by more than 40%. These results highlight the platform’s role in enhancing rental market transparency and boosting transaction efficiency, ultimately creating a fairer and more orderly rental ecosystem. The achievement also marks a significant milestone in the Industry-Academia Collaboration between YungChing Realty Group and NCCU, which is founded on a shared commitment to the public good.
