UNIMY revolutionises education through cutting-edge technology integration

University Malaysia of Computer Science and Engineering (UNIMY) has transformed the education landscape and redefined learning with its integration of several cutting-edge technologies, which has driven innovation, operational efficiency, and social impact.

It has embraced several platforms like Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS), enabling scalable, secure, and cost-efficient operations. These have powered critical systems, including Learning Management Systems (LMS), which work seamlessly both on and off campus to support real-time decision-making.

The mobile-friendly LMS platform also empowers students to learn anytime, anywhere, whilst features like Safe Exam Browser and Turnitin uphold academic integrity. Artificial intelligence (AI) chatbots enhance student support, acting as virtual assistants with instant responses. UNIMY’s campus management system, CampusOne, has also smoothed enrolment and fee payments.

Meanwhile, the company’s pay-as-you-go cloud model minimises costs by eliminating the need for costly hardware and server rooms. AI tools such as Pictory and ChatGPT further enhance productivity by enabling the swift creation of educational materials, e-books, and marketing content, which also drives cost savings by streamlining operations and reducing manual efforts.

It also extends its impact beyond education, leveraging technology to uplift communities. It has launched initiatives to train visually impaired individuals in using mobile devices, providing digital literacy programmes for seniors and offering free educational content through SPMflix, a platform accessed by over 200,000 students.
