The cutting-edge cybersecurity solution has provided a robust layer of security for consumers and businesses in the region, covering the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman and now Qatar, with the company successfully expanding coverage across all GCC member states.

The U.S.-based cybersecurity company Resecurity, protecting major Fortune 100 corporations and government agencies globally, has made a huge leap in combatting cyber threats with the development of its Digital Identity Protection solution, which has provided a robust layer of security to consumers and businesses across the Middle East. This solution comes amidst the widespread cybercriminal activity targeting digital identities in the region, which has led to economic losses and fraudulent activities, as well as data theft threats to numerous enterprises.

According to the FBI's IC3 analysis, losses connected to cybercrime activity exceed US$12.5b in 2023, up US$2b year-over-year, created a major problem for society globally. The Digital Identity Protection solution enables real-time monitoring of Dark Web activity, data breaches, and fraudulent transactions, protecting consumers from the risk of account takeover and identity theft. It ensures an all-encompassing defence mechanism for users to protect their data.

Resecurity has implemented the solution in partnership with multiple government agencies, as well as the leading managed security service providers (MSSPs) and Internet service providers (ISPs), educational and financial institutions. This year, the company secured successful strategic partnerships with the leading ICT pioneers in the region, including Oredoo (Oman) and Mannai (Qatar). One of the first integrations has been arranged in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, covering over 1 million users when the company introduced the offering at Blackhat MEA.

The Digital Identity Protection solution has been well-received by its clientele, which includes top financial, government, oil & gas and energy organisations in the Middle East.

“Resecurity is proud to be responsible for the protection of millions of consumers in the region. Our solution has enabled businesses and citizens to be cyber-safe, whilst accelerating continuous digital protection measures and anti-fraud efforts for major financial institutions and e-commerce leaders, saving over US$650m annually per region,” Managing Director at Resecurity in Saudi Arabia, Mohammed Alghamdi, stated.

Previously, it was primarily known in North America only. Resecurity contributed significantly by making the service available in the Middle East and continuously expanding the geography of service delivery to make cybersecurity and digital identity protection available to everyone.

The company’s success in protecting consumers and businesses from threats surrounding identity protection has been extremely effective. Resecurity was recognised by Frost & Sullivan as the global leader in cyber threat intelligence and external threat risk management. This has caught the attention of the coveted Middle East Technology Excellence Awards 2024, with Resecurity bagging the Cybersecurity - Technology category win.
