
PT Telkomsel honoured for AI and automation breakthroughs at Indonesia Technology Excellence Awards 2025
The company set benchmarks through its 1-Click platform and the launch of the Ted, Telkomsel Enterprise Digital Account Manager.
PT Telkomsel, Indonesia’s leading digital telco, received recognition in the AI - Telecommunications and Automation - Telecommunications categories at the Indonesia Technology Excellence Awards 2025. These awards highlighted the company’s efforts in strengthening efficiency, driving digital transformation, and enhancing enterprise engagement through advanced technology applications.
As Telkomsel's business unit serving enterprise customers, Telkomsel Enterprise’s achievement in the AI category centres on Ted, Indonesia’s first generative AI-based Telkomsel Enterprise Digital Account Manager. Its growing portfolio of over 70 complex B2B solutions – including connectivity, IoT, cybersecurity, and cloud – poses communication challenges. Serving clients across Indonesia’s vast geography with limited account managers, Telkomsel Enterprise created Ted, which can operate both online as a chatbot and offline as a metahuman, offering a scalable, intelligent approach: leveraging generative AI to offer always-on business consultations, summarising product information, and supporting form completion. The system also pre-qualifies leads by capturing intent during conversations, allowing account managers to focus on high-value engagements rather than routine inquiries.

The solution handled more than 13,000 unique conversations on PT Telkomsel Enterprise’s website and also responded to over 22,000 user prompts. It was able to generate 573 qualified marketing leads, with 30% of these leads progressing to final negotiations. The deployment improved conversion efficiency with a 29% rise in the active user-to-lead submission ratio and a 43% increase in engaged sessions. During offline events, Telkomsel Enterprise introduced Ted in an interactive 3D Talking Metahuman and managed more than 25,000 conversations with prospective clients. Feedback highlighted its ability to provide fast, human-like responses that enhanced enterprise interactions.
In the automation category, PT Telkomsel was recognised for its 1-Click! Procurement Orchestration platform, which restructures procurement processes into a unified digital flow. 1-Click! integrates automation, APIs, and digital signatures to connect all procurement stages using a single portal. This replaced multiple manual tools and approval chains with a single system adopted across procurement, legal, and business functions.

The platform processes more than 71,000 transactions each year, covering procurement activities valued at around IDR5.7t. Through features such as AI-powered cost estimation, automated buyer assignment, and real-time vendor data synchronisation, the system has delivered substantial results. These include productivity gains, valued at IDR 8.2b per year, and additional savings of IDR28b. The platform also shortened procurement cycle times by over 25%, whilst centralised dashboards and automated documentation strengthened compliance and transparency.
