
PT Bank DBS Indonesia clinches accolade at Asian Experience Awards 2025
It has showcased its end-to-end digital capabilities through its collaboration with payments company Nium.
PT Bank DBS Indonesia bagged the Indonesia Digital Experience of the Year - Banking win at the coveted Asian Experience Awards 2025 for its strategic collaboration with payments company PT Nium Mitra Indonesia to enhance its service offerings and deliver superior digital experiences to customers.
Under the partnership, DBS Indonesia has streamlined operations and improved user satisfaction by implementing several innovative solutions using application programming interface (API).
These solutions include Virtual Account, which has enabled a simplified process for collection transactions; API Notification, which has enabled incoming notification to the customer for any credit to their account for continuation of disbursements and better fund management; and API for Local/Domestic Payments, which has simplified domestic transactions and has provided a comprehensive solution for all payment needs.
The banking company has continued to provide support to Nium, helping them to gradually increase their transaction volume. This strategic approach ensures that Nium can maximise the benefits of its services, driving sustainable growth and operational efficiency.
The success of this collaboration has enabled Nium to deliver faster, more reliable and compliant remittance services, thereby enhancing the overall customer experience. Payment transactions have increased by more than 92% from Q4 2024, and collection transactions have increased by more than 300% from Q3 2024.
DBS Indonesia has set a new benchmark in the global Money Services Business sector, particularly in local payment disbursement, as evidenced by successfully addressing critical issues and providing seamless integration with Nium operations.
