PT Asuransi BRI Life clinches win at Asian Management Excellence Awards 2026

The company aligned leadership priorities with operational performance and long-term business objectives. PT Asuransi BRI Life received an accolade in the Indonesia Executive of the Year - Life Insurance category at the Asian Management Excellence Awards 2026, recognising executive leadership demonstrated through quantifiable performance outcomes in Indonesia. The assessment focused on leadership impact, business results, and the ability to translate strategic direction into sustained organisational performance within the life insurance sector.
The assessment drew on results recorded in the first half of 2025. During this period, the company ranked first in Indonesia’s life insurance sector for Annualised Premium Equivalent growth, according to data from the Indonesian Life Insurance Association. Annualised Premium Equivalent reached Rp2t, reflecting a 29.3% increase compared with the same period a year earlier. This level of performance placed the company ahead of other market participants for the duration of the evaluation window.
Executive leadership under the executive board of BRI Life focused on execution discipline rather than broad strategic repositioning. Business planning, distribution priorities, and operational oversight were managed through defined performance parameters. Targets were assigned at the business-unit level and monitored against delivery outcomes. Regulatory requirements and market conditions were treated as fixed constraints within this framework, rather than variables to be adjusted mid-cycle.
Independent recognition during the same leadership period provided additional context for the evaluation. The executive board of BRI Life received recognition from Infobank Media Group, with inclusion in the Infobank Top 100 CEO 2024, Top 12 Young CEO, Best CMO, Best CFO & Young Future Leaders categories. The acknowledgement followed a review of performance indicators and management track record within Indonesia’s financial services sector. These credentials were considered alongside operational results under the Asian Management Excellence Awards assessment criteria.
Market engagement decisions were also reviewed as part of the leadership assessment. Attention shifted towards younger policyholders as part of a broader segmentation approach. Product development addressed specific use cases, including coverage associated with organised sports and physical activity. These offerings broadened the portfolio and supported premium contributions from non-traditional customer groups.
Operational coordination remained consistent throughout the review period. Direction from senior management was reflected in how distribution channels, customer-facing functions, and internal performance controls operated in parallel. Execution across these areas showed limited variance against stated business targets. This consistency was maintained despite competitive pressure across the life insurance market.
