Kimberly-Clark Regional Services lauded at Malaysia International Business Awards 2026
The company received the Excellence Award - Financial Services for strengthening its role as a value-driven transformation hub for Asia Pacific.
Kimberly-Clark Regional Services triumphed at the Malaysia International Business Awards 2026, with its Global Business Services for Asia Pacific (GBS APAC) earning recognition for its strong leadership in building a modern and value-driven shared services organisation.
Kimberly-Clark Regional Services’ GBS APAC has evolved from a traditional support function into a strategic hub that drives innovation and business growth in the region. It plays a key role in helping the company adapt to a rapidly changing business environment by combining operational discipline, digital innovation, and close collaboration with business partners.
The organisation operates under a clear focus of delivering “Value” beyond “Cost”, an approach that focuses on efficiency and on creating meaningful business impact.
It has strengthened end-to-end ownership across several critical finance and operational processes, including Source-to-Pay, Procurement, Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report, Treasury and Master Data, and Financial Planning & Analytics, delivering consistent global standards.
GBS APAC has played a central role in several major enterprise initiatives as well, with the team supporting complex business transitions, mergers and divestitures, and large technology upgrades, including the shift from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA.
Managing these initiatives required strong programme execution and change leadership whilst ensuring that day-to-day operations continued smoothly. The ability to maintain stability during transformation has been a key factor in the centre’s success.
When it comes to digital enablement and automation, the team rolled out initiatives such as a citizen development programme and an internal Innovation Olympiad, where employees have created new automation tools, analytics solutions, and process improvements.
These have reduced manual work, improved service reliability, and allowed teams to focus more on analysis and strategic advisory work.
Moreover, to maintain consistent performance, GBS APAC has established strong governance and operating practices that include structured performance management, clear service accountability, defined key performance indicators, and robust risk management processes.
There were regular operational reviews and active stakeholder engagement to ensure transparency and stronger collaboration with regional and global partners.
Additionally, at the centre of this progress is a culture framework called Bolder, Faster, Stronger, Together (BFST). This encourages bold thinking and faster execution through simplification and innovation, stronger capabilities through data and continuous learning, and deeper collaboration across teams.
As organisations in the region face increasing complexity and technological change, GBS APAC continues to support the enterprise with innovative solutions, strong governance, and collaborative partnerships.
With its focus on value creation, digital capability, and people development, the team has strengthened its role as a leading regional business services organisation.
