Electromin lauded in Middle East Management Excellence Award
The company was saluted for its pioneering efforts to drive sustainable programmes in Saudi Arabia’s mobility infrastructure.
For pioneering smart and sustainable electronic vehicle (EV) projects in Saudi Arabia, such as the kingdom’s first 360⁰ Smart Mobility ecosystem and piloting historic fleets of electric vehicle buses for clients in the Middle East, Electromin Ltd Company was named the winner of the Saudi Arabia Team of the Year - Automotive & Transport System at the Middle East Management Excellence Awards 2025.
Electromin, the e-mobility arm of Petromin Corporation, provides end-to-end smart mobility and new energy solutions in Saudi Arabia to help customers achieve their sustainability objectives. It also builds, operates, and manages EV charging infrastructure with expert consultants, state-of-the-art charging devices, as well as innovative charging point management systems and a customer-facing mobile app.
Helping KSA achieve sustainable mobility targets
The 360⁰ Smart Mobility initiative integrates advanced technologies to create a seamless, efficient, and sustainable transportation network throughout the kingdom. Its strategy encompasses multiple aspects of a sustainable transport ecosystem, including electric vehicles, autonomous systems, smart parking, intelligent transportation systems, and the integration of mobile applications for a better user experience.
Committed to helping build a sustainable transport infrastructure in the kingdom, Electromin champions the shift to EVs, campaigning to establish scalable charging solutions at its business-to-business clients’ workplace locations.
To date, Electromin has installed the kingdom's largest network of public charging stations spread over 100 locations, supported by the country's first customer-facing app for a seamless charging experience.
As part of its partnerships, Electromin also piloted an autonomous shuttle with the Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services, the first fleet of EV buses to Red Sea Global and the first last-mile delivery truck to PepsiCo Middle East, supporting these organisations to help them meet reduced carbon emissions goals.
“EV products go beyond simply plugging into a power source,” the company said. “These are sensitive equipment that require expertise, along with knowledge of products, industry standards and regulations for successful deployment, operation, and maintenance.“
“We take that burden away from our clients. Partnering with us is simple: we equip our customers with the knowledge and skills to expand their offering without having to engage with multiple vendors,” they added.
Partnerships and pilots
With the aim of providing a holistic range of products and services, the company also supplies passenger and commercial vehicles from notable international brands, whilst operating the largest network of maintenance and aftercare service centres in the kingdom.
In addition, Electromin installs and operates efficient bus transit systems that serve the public in Saudi Arabia.
Recently, the company won the contract to establish and operate the first fully sustainable Bus Rapid Transit solution in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
