BPI wins at Asian Technology Excellence Awards 2025 for e-investment ecosystem

The bank is transforming investment accessibility through digital platforms.

BPI received the Philippines Technology Excellence Award for Digital-Banking at the Asian Technology Excellence Awards 2025 for its holistic e-investment ecosystem, which redefines how Filipinos access and grow their investments.

The company developed a fully digital journey that allows clients to open investment accounts in less than five minutes without queues or paperwork. This innovation enabled the opening of 20,000 digital accounts with a total value of PHP1 billion as of June 2024. By shifting away from branch-centric processes, BPI has made investing simpler and more accessible to a wider market.

BPI continues to introduce new ways of combining financial growth with customer benefits. In December 2024, it launched the BPI Wealth Builder, the first local investment product to combine investment returns with health benefits such as insurance and medical rewards. The bank also introduced the country’s first fully digital joint investment account and the PERA digital application, both launched in 2024.

To support clients across all segments, BPI deployed AI-powered tools such as Track & Plan, which delivers tailored insights that adapt to client behavior and goals. For affluent customers, BPI Wealth Online offers a consolidated view of multi-asset portfolios and direct digital access to relationship managers.

BPI also reported that digital consultations and accessible investment resources significantly expanded its reach. These tools extend financial advisory services beyond traditional top-tier clients, helping democratize wealth management across different customer groups.

Clients consistently cite BPI’s investment services as reliable and user-friendly, highlighting the convenience of investing anytime through the BPI app, along with the added value of features such as the Regular Subscription Plan and BPI Wealth Builder.
