Blue Rewards: Providing value to consumers through fintech and rewards

The ENTERTAINER’s technology brought home the E-Wallet - Retail trophy at the Middle East Technology Excellence Awards 2021.

Digital transformation of payment methods has allowed companies to lead the digital future by embracing fintech advancements, including AI, data and security.

While technological advances are not new to the ENTERTAINER, digital innovation has significantly improved the programs systems. These improvements have given rise to innovative loyalty programs such as Blue Rewards, allowing clients to assemble a best-in-class suite of products with key features to distinguish itself in the market.

Al Futtaim partnered with the ENTERTAINER business, a leading loyalty solutions provider, to create a best-in-class, data-driven loyalty program, Blue Rewards. Blue Rewards complements the Al Futtaim brand by bringing all money-saving benefits together under one loyalty program, creating a seamless, intuitive shopping experience.

The program has no joining fee, and members can earn cashback back on every purchase and access to personalized and exclusive deals across the entire Al Futtaim brand and its partners throughout GCC & Egypt.

The wallet-to-wallet transfer is available for both Blue rewards members and non-members, who can transfer by entering the recipient mobile number, a secure and instant way of loading credit to pay for purchases and gifting credit to customers’ families and friends.

While only UAE members can use the wallet-to-wallet transfer feature as it is currently locked in AED, improvements are being developed with the possibility of providing the same service in all Al Futtaim markets.

Blue’s e-wallet can also add money, convert points to cash, add credit/debit cards, refund wallets, participate in campaigns to win cash (AED) vouchers, and send prepaid/gift cards to customers and non-customers via email.

Moreover, the developers believe user engagement is vital to every mobile-based program. Blue has created two games integrated to ensure high user engagement that allows customers to win extra cashback and rewards: Blue Coin Rush and Spin the Wheel.

Blue Coin Rush is available to customers any day, but they can only earn points on Mondays. Every point is equivalent to a cashback value in AED. On the other hand, the Spin the Wheel game provides customers with a chance to win different prizes. Every Wednesday, the game is available to customers, and prizes can be customized daily, weekly, or monthly.

The innovative features of The ENTERTAINER’s e-wallet app have made it stand out amongst competitors to win the E-Wallet - Retail category at the Middle East Technology Excellence Awards 2021.

The program launched only recently and amidst the pandemic has already provided a best-in-class technology and a wide range of offers and benefits in multiple regions with a large customer base of around 1 million active users.
