Global solar tracker shipments jump 19% to 134 GWdc in 2025
Installed capacity crossed a new threshold as deployment scales across regions.
The global solar tracker market reached 134 gigawatts direct current (GWdc) of shipments in 2025, rising 19% year on year, according to Wood Mackenzie’s Global Solar Tracker Market Share 2026 report.
Nextpower retained the top global position for the eleventh consecutive year, shipping nearly 40 GWdc, equal to around 30% of global market share. It expanded its position through strong US demand, a rebrand, and acquisitions.
GameChange Solar ranked second globally by market share. Arctech Solar, Array Technologies and PV Hardware completed the top five, unchanged from the previous two years.
US domestic tracker shipments exceeded 40 GWdc in 2025, rising more than 25% from 2024.
“Nextpower was able to extend its market share above 50% in the US, widening the gap over second-ranked Array Technologies and GameChange. The three companies combined for nearly 90% of the entire US market,” the report said.
GameChange Solar strengthened its global position through demand in India and Africa. Arctech Solar reported gains in Saudi Arabia, which overtook Spain as the third-largest tracker market.
Europe recorded 25 GWdc of shipments in 2025, with Axial holding the highest market share in the region.
Growth came from agri-photovoltaic projects in Italy and other European markets supported by EU funding.
