SeaOvers Pte. Ltd. wins at Asia-Pacific Broadcasting+ Awards 2026 for Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV (FAST) technology innovation
The company’s platform streamlines FAST channel operations and accelerates monetisation.
SeaOvers Pte. Ltd. (SeaOvers) received an accolade in the Technology - Hong Kong category at the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting+ Awards 2026. The award recognises SeaOvers Media Suite, an end-to-end platform for FAST channel creation, distribution, and monetisation. It unifies content ingestion, scheduling, playout, and ad monetisation into a single environment, reducing broadcasters’ reliance on multiple service providers.
Designed to simplify FAST channel deployment, SeaOvers Media Suite enables broadcasters to launch a 24/7 FAST channel within 20 minutes without any need for large operations. It removes the technical complexity associated with traditional FAST setup, including channel configuration, content scheduling, ad break insertion, and electronic programme guide (EPG) creation. Broadcasters only need to upload and organise content, whilst the platform automates the assembling and delivery of FAST channels.
The platform also applies AI-powered scene analysis to optimise ad monetisation, where multiple trained AI models analyse video content on a scene-by-scene basis. It identifies the optimal cue points for ad insertion according to the scene structure, mood, and content pacing. Detailed metadata will be automatically generated in alignment with the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) taxonomy, allowing advertisers to match their campaigns with contextually relevant scenes and moments. This supports targeted ad placement and improves ad relevance during the live broadcast, which ultimately increases Advertising Return on Ad Spend (ROAS). Meanwhile, the viewer experience can also be maintained.
Apart from the AI capabilities of the platform, broadcasters are able to re-curate FAST channels using its existing library and latest content to build diverse themed FAST channels. It overcomes the limitations of traditional linear TV’s fixed channel model, offering audiences a wider range of entertainment choices.
A major broadcaster in Hong Kong had employed the SeaOvers Media Suite, which exhibited significant improvements in its advertising performance. As cited in the award submission, there was a 79.2% rise in ad impressions right after the launch of eight new FAST channels integrated with ad breaks.
