Mayapada Healthcare Group receives two accolades at Asian Management Excellence Awards 2026

The group clinched the Indonesia Innovator of the Year - Healthcare and the Indonesia Team of the Year - Healthcare titles.

Mayapada Healthcare Group emerged victorious at the coveted Asian Management Excellence Awards 2026, underscoring its continued commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and patient-centred care across its hospital network, with notable achievements by Mayapada Hospital Surabaya (MHSB) and Mayapada Hospital Tangerang (MHTG).

Mayapada Hospital Surabaya (MHSB), which won the Indonesia Innovator of the Year - Healthcare, has redefined patient admissions with its Fast Track Boarding Preadmission Programme, transforming a routine process into a seamless, dignified, and patient-centred experience.

The initiative introduces digital pre-registration, in-room onboarding, proactive coordination between teams, and dedicated escort flows to ensure that patients move directly from arrival to their rooms with minimal waiting. As a result, admission time has dropped from nearly an hour to under 30 minutes, with over 80% of preadmission patients meeting this target.

This improvement has also translated into operational and strategic impact for the hospital, with process efficiency nearly doubling, variability in waiting times dropping significantly, and patient complaints related to admission delays being eliminated altogether.

Beyond patient satisfaction, the programme has strengthened MHSB’s growth trajectory as preadmission patients, whilst only representing 20% of inpatient volume, have contributed over one-third of inpatient revenue.

“The Fast Track Boarding Preadmission Programme reflects MHSB’s belief that true innovation is not just about advanced medical technology, but also about anticipating needs and transforming everyday details into moments of excellence. By turning hospital admission into an effortless, patient-centred journey, MHSB has proven that patient experience and business growth go hand in hand,” Dr Bona Fernando, M.D., FISQua, Hospital Director of Mayapada Hospital Surabaya (MHSB) said.

Meanwhile, Mayapada Hospital Tangerang (MHTG) has earned the Indonesia Team of the Year - Healthcare accolade for the success of its Oncology Team in maximising treatment capacity, enabling the hospital to serve over 1,300 radiotherapy patients per month by mid-2025. This growth has been driven by eliminating equipment downtime, strengthening referral networks, and optimising staff shifts.

At the same time, the team sustained and improved its performance in radiotherapy treatments in 2025, consistently delivering around 1,100 to 1,300 treatments monthly, with its peak being in July 2025 with 1,329 treatments.

Beyond numbers, the team has also introduced the MHTG Cancer Community, a patient-centred programme offering free nutritional and psychological consultations at therapy onset, a supportive waiting environment, and community-driven engagement.

Key challenges such as frequent LINAC downtime, low referral activity, and patient hesitancy have also been addressed by the team through preventive maintenance that achieved zero downtime, targeted referral engagement, and supportive services. Monthly cross-functional maintenance meetings and restructured workflows have also ensured reliable and uninterrupted service.

“The Oncology Team proved that capacity optimisation can translate directly into lives impacted. Through determination, problem-solving, and innovation, they ensured that no patient had to wait for essential therapy and that MHTG could serve more patients each day and month than ever before,” Dr Nurhidayati Endah Puspita Sari, Hospital Director of Mayapada Hospital Tangerang (MHTG) said.

These dual recognitions reflect Mayapada Healthcare Group’s broader strategy to build an integrated healthcare ecosystem that combines clinical excellence, service innovation, and compassionate care, delivering meaningful impact for patients, healthcare professionals, and the communities it serves.
