OATstanding: How MILKLAB Oat was crafted to perfection

Designed to complement a broad range of espresso-based profiles.

In its goal of developing milk brands that can texture and stretch with espresso coffee, whilst complementing its intensity, Noumi Singapore has launched MILKLAB in 2015. Originating from Australia, MILKLAB, now in its 7th anniversary, is the #1 plant-based milk brand served in Australian cafes – with 62% of cafes using MILKLAB, led by MILKLAB Almond.

The development process of its newest product, MILKLAB Oat, went through countless hours of testing and formulation to create both plant-based and full cream dairy milks for coffees to ensure that it is crafted to perfection.

MILKLAB has the widest food service range of plant-based and dairy milks designed to complement a wide range of espresso-based profiles with a rich and creamy mouthfeel that stretches like full cream dairy to produce the perfect pour. The product line includes plant-based milk alternatives such as MILKLAB Oat, Almond, Soy, Coconut, and Macadamia, as well as cow’s milk options such as Full Cream Dairy and Lactose-Free milk.

MILKLAB Oat, the latest launch in the portfolio, is designed to taste great, perform exceptionally, and have high nutritional content. It is also fortified with calcium, which provides 100 mg per serving (250ml), contributing to 31% of the daily nutritional requirements. With its healthy ingredients, MILKLAB Oat is high in fibre and protein and is low in sugar and fat. It also has a rich and oaty taste with a natural, subtle sweetness.

It is one of the most environmentally friendly plant-based alternatives, capable of reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 73%. At the same time, it is also Halal certified, which makes it compliant to stricter regulations and available in more markets.

The product has been launched in 21 markets and is favourably received by many food service establishments serving speciality coffee, regional café chains such as Starbucks and Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, and is now being adopted by bubble tea chains which are popular amongst consumers.

With its growing sophistication in consumer taste, Noumi Singapore has taken home the Product Exporter of the Year - Food Service at the recently held Asian Export Awards. The prestigious awards programme lauds exceptional products and services that have enhanced a company's business in the regional export scene.
