Majority in India prefer diagnostic centres over hospitals: report

Individuals choose these facilities for preventive health checkups

The majority (82%) of individuals in India choose diagnostic centres for preventive health checkups, whilst only 18% opt for hospitals, according to an ekincare report.

The report revealed that customers experienced 56% fewer instances of long wait times at diagnostic centres.

“The modern health-seeker values speed, transparency, and control and diagnostic centres are meeting those expectations more consistently than hospitals,” said Kiran Kalakuntla, CEO and Founder of ekincare.

Meanwhile, 71% of reports were delivered within 48 hours, compared to 47% from hospitals.

Moreover, 3.3% of diagnostic centre reports required corrections, versus 4.4% for hospitals.
