iTOOLS clinches win at Malaysia Technology Excellence Awards 2025

XPATNOVA streamlines application processing—enabling companies to submit applications seamlessly whilst allowing approving agencies to process and monitor approvals more efficiently.

IT services company iTOOLS took home the Online Services - Business Services category at the Malaysia Technology Excellence Awards 2025 for its innovative digital platform XPATNOVA, which has revolutionised expatriate management in Iskandar Malaysia.

Developed by iTOOLS, XPATNOVA is utilised by the Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA) to manage expatriate applications. The platform centralises and streamlines workflows, enabling seamless integration with key agencies such as Immigration, Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri (LHDN), and Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia.

The platform offers online applications, digital document uploads, and online payments, significantly reducing paper usage and processing times. It also eliminates redundancies and minimises physical appointments to just one visit.

With the key features of the platform, it has achieved remarkable success in meeting its objectives of improving efficiency, compliance, and sustainability. XPATNOVA has processed 719 company registrations and 3,885 expatriate applications, including employment passes, dependent passes, and professional visit passes.

A customer satisfaction survey conducted in December 2024 has revealed that 93.4% of users were satisfied with the platform’s performance, whilst 94.5% agreed that it is user-friendly and easy to use.

iTOOLS takes pride in the fact that the platform is equipped to evolve with regulatory changes and cater to the diverse needs of other approving agencies. This forward-thinking design ensures that it can continue to drive efficiency and promote Malaysia’s ease of doing business.

“XPATNOVA exemplifies digital transformation's potential to simplify complex workflows, foster compliance, and support economic growth, making it a strong contender for the Malaysia Technology Excellence Awards,” the company said.
