CIMB Niaga director lauded at Asian Management Excellence Awards 2025 for visionary leadership

Noviady Wahyudi has spearheaded the company's journey toward sustainable growth, elevated customer engagement, and reinforced market confidence.

Noviady Wahyudi, Consumer Banking Director for privately owned Bank CIMB Niaga, received the Indonesia Executive of the Year - Banking accolade at the prestigious Asian Management Excellence Awards 2025 for his exemplary leadership that has solidified the bank’s position as a market leader.

Under Wahyudi’s direction, the division’s businesses achieved exceptional milestones in 2024. As of the first nine months of 2024 (9M24), the total loans in consumer banking segment grew 5.4% Y-o-Y to IDR74.0t.

Total deposits increased to IDR256.0t (+8.8% Y-o-Y), attributed to the strong current account and savings account (CASA) growth of 8.8% Y-o-Y to IDR170.7t, with CASA ratio 66.7%. These successes align with CIMB Niaga’s strategy to accelerate profitable growth by focussing on areas with the highest risk-adjusted returns, particularly within the consumer banking segment.

These accomplishments have not only enhanced CIMB Niaga’s financial performance but have also attracted nearly a million new customers in the past year, showcasing sustainable growth and market confidence.

Meanwhile, the bank has also faced some challenges over the past few years, one of which is adapting to rapid digitalisation and shifting customer behaviour. Wahyudi has spearheaded a comprehensive digital strategy to address this, introducing initiatives such as CIMB@Work Payrolls to enhance payroll management and forging strategic partnerships with Shopee (Spinjam), XL Axiata, Lazada, and Dana.

The director has also prioritised fostering a strong corporate culture through its Enabling Talent, Passion, Integrity & Accountability, Collaboration, and Customer Centricity (EPICC) framework, empowering employees to innovate and deliver exceptional service.

The company’s EPICC score has improved through the years, reflecting a workplace where employees feel supported, empowered, and inspired, as well as highlighting strong management support for employee development.

Under Wahyudi’s exceptional leadership, CIMB Niaga has positioned itself as a resilient, adaptive, and transformative force within Indonesia’s banking industry.
