It features global premium labels such as YSL and Lancôme.

Philippines' SM Group is ramping up its beauty and wellness retail presence to meet rising consumer demand nationwide.

SM Beauty now carries more than 1,000 beauty brands in its 77 branches nationwide, featuring global premium labels such as YSL, Lancôme, and Calvin Klein.

The retailer has also launched dedicated beauty hubs in select stores, where customers can enjoy services like hair coloring and makeovers, assisted by a growing team of professional beauty advisers.

The Global Wellness Institute projects the global wellness economy to reach nearly $9t by 2028.

In the Philippines, the market is gaining traction: in 2023, the country ranked 13th out of 218 economies worldwide in the personal care and beauty segment, driven by a young, wellness-conscious population

Watsons Philippines, another SM retail brand, is also expanding with exclusive skincare lines, health services, and sustainability-focused store innovations.

SM Group said it will continue to widen access to beauty and wellness products and services, offering more choices and experiences for Filipino consumers.
