Patient handling equipment market to be valued at $26.76b by 2033

This is thanks to rising investments in hospital infrastructure and home care services.

The patient handling equipment market is expected to reach $26.76b by 2033 at a compound annual growth rate of 6.4%, according to a DataM Intelligence report.

The sector’s expansion is attributed to rising investments in hospital infrastructure, home care services, and advanced medical equipment for safe patient mobility.

“The industry is being shaped by increasing elderly populations, rising chronic disease prevalence, home-based care trends, and government emphasis on hospital safety protocols,” the report said.

By end-user, hospitals dominated the market with revenues of $10.1b in 2024, driven by large-scale procurement of medical beds, lifts, and slings for inpatient and critical care services.
