Canadia Bank strengthens digital ecosystem with continuous digital transformation

It has recorded a total asset of US$7.97m as of December 2023.

Since its establishment in 1991, banking firm Canadia Bank has become a leading local, full-service commercial bank in Cambodia, wherein it has built strong relationships with customers through innovative products and services. It is guided by its refined core values that include innovation and customer focus, which has also led them to constantly evolve and innovate to bring best-in-class experiences.

Similar to other companies, the bank’s digital transformation journey has also picked up the pace during the onset of the global pandemic in 2020. It has established a strong digital ecosystem with various attractive services that include payment solutions, internet banking and mobile app functions, loyalty programmes, and Innovation Centre transformed from Smart Branches. It has also launched a revamped Canadia Bank App in February 2023.

It has also pioneered initiatives that focus on enhancing digital payments and card products. Some of the new features of its mobile app include virtual cards and cross-border QR payments. Additionally, payment via related channels is being developed to provide wider options for customers.

Meanwhile, Canadia Bank has also developed a mobile initiative called the Centre of Excellence Portal to help frontline sales staff onboarding new customers easily even outside the branches by leveraging mobile devices, such as tablets, well-equipped with security measures.

To support corporate clients in managing their financial transactions more efficiently, the bank has also launched its Merchant App and Merchant Portal in 2023 and Corporate Internet Banking Revamp in 2024. Further enrichment in features of these digital solutions is already in the pipeline.

Canadia Bank’s digital transformation initiatives have brought positive results and kept its competitiveness in the market. As of December 2023, the bank’s total assets have reached US$7.97m with a net profit of US$102m.

Its initiatives have been in full swing with the boost from digital transformation initiatives. This has brought Canadia Bank a stellar performance and recognition as the winner of the Cambodia Technology Excellence Award in the Digital - Banking category.
