DXC Technology boasts an outstanding and welcoming work atmosphere, which earned the company the Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia Employee Experience of the Year - IT Services award at the Asian Experience Awards 2024.
With the belief that creativity and corporate success stem from a motivated workforce, DXC Malaysia, Indonesia, and Brunei have committed to cultivate efforts that set high standards for workforce management. Amongst these are being committed to diversity and inclusion; promoting flexibility through a hybrid work model; actively listening to employees; and supporting continuous learning. These efforts enhance both employee well-being and DXC's position as an industry leader.
Employee satisfaction, retention
DXC has set four fundamental objectives in aiming for an efficient work environment. These include enhancing employee satisfaction and retention through a positive workplace; promoting continuous learning to prepare employees for future success; improving efficiency and job satisfaction with flexible work arrangements; and building an inclusive and welcoming environment to leverage its diverse workforce.
Adhering to these goals, DXC initiated several efforts in areas including career development, employee engagement, work flexibility, and diversity and inclusion.
DXC empowers employees to take charge of their careers with programmes such as the "Career Navigator" mentoring scheme, the "DXC Academy" for emerging leaders, and the "DXC Learning" portal for digital education. These development frameworks provide clear promotion paths and encourage ongoing training and education.
The company also prioritises employee feedback through regular surveys, town halls, and feedback sessions—ensuring that they feel valued. Its engagement programmes—which include DXC Recognition initiatives, team-building activities, and various events—foster a sense of community and belonging, even in a hybrid work setting.
DXC also offers greater freedom and work-life balance to employees through its hybrid work model. It utilises tools like Condeco to help manage office space and desk reservations, optimising on-site resource use and enhancing job satisfaction and efficiency.
Moreover, DXC is dedicated to creating an inclusive workplace where all employees feel valued. The company extends its support through Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), inclusive hiring practices, and diversity training. Initiatives like My Young Employee Network (MYYEN) and ASEAN Women Forum (AWF) also provide platforms for discussions on gender equality and support for multicultural employees.
Key achievements
Amongst DXC’s key achievements in 2023 include having over 99% of employees engaged in learning and development programmes—many of which even earned new certifications that significantly advanced their careers. It has also maximised employee contentment and retention through effective engagement strategies. Additionally, DXC’s hybrid work model has led to reduced energy use, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and decreased IT asset waste. It further enhances employee happiness by positively impacting their personal and family time.
By cultivating an engaged workforce and promoting continuous learning, DXC drives innovation and delivers exceptional client solutions. This approach not only attracts top talent but also sets industry standards, ensuring its continued success and leadership.
