GUIDELINES AND CRITERIA

GUIDELINES

The awards are for:

  • Top-level executives, innovative individuals, and dynamic teams who launched successful and notable new projects or initiatives within the company
  • Employee engagement initiatives that significantly impacted the company's workforce and business
  • Diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives that remarkably improved the experiences of the company's workforce
  • Health and wellness initiatives that promote and support the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of the workforce

Nominees will be deliberated by a judging committee based on the nomination form and supporting documents submitted.

The awards will be given per main category and corresponding industry.

Nomination is free of charge. If your company wins, you will be entitled to book the winner's package to maximise your award-winning status. To know more about the winner's package pricing and entitlements, send an email to jane@charltonmediamail.com.

ELIGIBILITY

  • Executive of the Year - The individual must be a CEO, COO, President, Managing Director, General Manager, or other top-level executive equivalent that made notable contributions to the success and growth of the company in the last 24 calendar months. 

  • Innovator of the Year - The individual of any job title must have introduced and spearheaded an innovative initiative of the company in the last 24 calendar months.

  • Team of the Year - The team must be able to showcase a remarkable initiative or series of initiatives launched in the last 24 calendar months that helped the company's business.

  • Employee Engagement of the Year - The project or initiative must have provided strong employee experience and positive impact on the company's workforce and must be launched in the last 24 calendar months.

  • Diversity and Inclusion Initiative of the Year - The project or initiative must have promoted diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace and must be launched in the last 24 calendar months.

  • Health and Wellness Initiative of the Year - The project or initiative must have promoted and supported the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of the workforce and must be launched in the last 24 calendar months.

Note: Companies in cryptocurrency, tobacco, multilevel marketing, and products with claims of health benefits are not eligible to join the awards programme.

  • Achievements - What accomplishments were achieved by the executive's exceptional leadership and how did they help drive the company's growth?

  • Challenges & Solutions - What were the biggest challenges that the executive encountered in moving the company forward? What solutions were implemented to overcome these challenges?

  • Innovation - What new ideas did the executive introduce to substantially boost the company's business?

Innovator of the Year

  • Uniqueness - What was the unique and innovative initiative that the innovator have spearheaded which led to a significant growth in the company? 

  • Success - What were the initiative's outcomes and what measures were used to achieve its success?

  • Effectiveness - How effective was the innovation and how did it impact the company?

Team of the Year

  • Achievements - What were the team's remarkable contributions to the company's growth?

  • Challenges & Solutions - What were the biggest challenges that the team encountered in driving growth? What solutions were implemented to overcome these challenges?

  • Innovation - What new ideas did the team introduce to substantially boost the company's business?

Employee Engagement of the Year

  • Strategy - What are the recent strategies implemented to engage the company's employees and enhance fulfilment with their careers?

  • Effectiveness - How effective was the strategy and what was its impact on the workforce?

Diversity and Inclusion Initiative of the Year 

  • Strategy - What initiatives were implemented to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace?
  • Effectiveness - How effective were the initiatives and what was their impact on the workforce, the company's business and/or customers? 

Health and Wellness Initiative of the Year 

  • Strategy - What initiatives were implemented to promote and support the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of the workforce?
  • Effectiveness - How effective were the initiatives and what was their impact on the workforce, the company's business and/or customers? 

NOMINATION PROCESS

  1. Prepare a 500-word write-up about the individual, team, or project/initiative that you are nominating. Use the judging criteria guide questions above to tell us about why your entry deserves to win the award.
  2. Go to the online nomination form.
  3. Fill out the required fields.

What is the nomination process?

The awards programme follows a self-nomination process, which means a company representative must be in charge of nominating their executive, innovator, team, or project/initiative for the award.

To submit an entry, all you have to do is fill out the online nomination form

How many winners per category?

There will be one winning company per main category and a corresponding industry.

How many entries can be submitted?

You may submit up to three (3) entries. Fill out the form once per entry as each submission is valid for one entry only.

Who/What can be nominated?

When was the awards programme launched?

The Management Excellence Awards was launched in Singapore in 2015. Since then, it has been successfully recognising the best business leaders in various industries. The local runs in Hong Kong and Malaysia were launched in 2018 and 2021 respectively.

In 2023, the Middle East run was launched.
